22nd March 2017 02:00 PM till 22nd March 2017 04:00 PM
The Society's AGM will be held on Wednesday 22 March in the meeting rooms of Liverpool Central Library beginning at 2p.m.
We are always looking for volunteers to serve on our Council and we would be delighted to hear from you if you want to find out more about what this involves. Please contact our President firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Our AGM will be followed by a talk, starting at about 2.15p.m.
The speaker will be Nicola Scott, Assistant Curator Decorative Art, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool Museums. She will be talking to us about 'Joseph Mayer (1803-1886): founding Member of the Historic Society of Lancashire and Cheshire.'
Meanwhile if you want to see an example of Joseph Mayer's work I spotted one piece in the Craft and Design Gallery on the ground floor of the Walker Art Gallery on my last visit. The Walker is just next door to the Central Library where the meeting is to be held, but as their website advises, please contact the gallery before you visit to make sure that it is still on display.
